Purchase Agreement & Letter of Understanding
This agreement is for the purchase of a pet quality Male[ ] Female[ ] F1B Labradoodle puppy from Colorado Mountain Labradoodles with the following terms and conditions set forth below and as follows:
GUARANTEE:We make every effort in placing our Labradoodles in permanent homes. We want to make certain that your new puppy is happy and healthy, now and for years to come. We are available to be emailed or phoned for the life of your dog if you have any questions or concerns, and of course we love updates and pictures of our puppies. All of our puppies are Vet checked at 8 weeks of age, this helps to make sure the puppies are in good health before leaving to go to his/her new home.
The Buyer has three (3) business days, from the time of receiving the puppy, to have him/her evaluated by a licensed veterinarian. If the veterinarian finds any parasite infestation, communicable disease or physical defect outside normal puppy growth stages, the diagnosis must be in writing. CO Mountain Labradoodles will refund the purchase price of the puppy if the puppy is returned or pay for the treatment (based on what our veterinarian would charge for the treatment and medications).
Warranty: Written diagnosis of a genetic disease or debilitating congenital physical defect by a licensed veterinarian prior and up to the puppy’s 2nd birthday will result in a full refund, from CO Mountain Labradoodles, of the purchase price of the puppy and the offer to take the dog back (not required for refund). Written diagnosis by veterinarian of genetic/congenital condition for claim of warranty resulting in return of dog to CO Mountain Labradoodles must be completed prior to actual release of dog by owner to CO Mountain Labradoodles. This warranty does not include viral illnesses, infections, parasite infestations, improper bites, hernias, hypoglycemia, giardia or coccidiosis. It also does not include any illness due to the ingestion of foreign objects, food, chemicals or physical injury. This warranty is not transferable unless the puppy is returned to CO Mountain Labradoodles by the Buyer.
Return Policy: CO Mountain Labradoodles will refund the purchase price of the puppy if it is returned in good mental and physical health within the first week of purchase due to allergic reactions from the family members (Buyer’s immediate family living in the house with the dog). Puppy must be returned at the Buyer’s expense.
CO Mountain Labradoodles will always accept a puppy/dog, which was purchased from us, to be returned to us at any point in the puppy/dog’s life. A written statement of why the dog is being returned must accompany the puppy/dog so that we can best accommodate his/her needs, and work to place him/her in a new home. If the puppy/dog is returned for reasons other than those outlined in the Guarantee and Warranty above, there will be no refund of purchase price of the puppy/dog.
Buyer’s Responsibility:
• The Buyer agrees that their Labradoodle will be housed indoors, will have a fenced yard and will not be tethered.
• The Buyer agrees to keep their Labradoodle at a healthy weight.
• We do suggest, (not require) at least an 8 week training course for your new puppy. Training courses can really help you work with your new puppy.
• The Buyer agrees to make and keep annual veterinary appointments for their Labradoodle, keep all immunizations current according to the guidelines of the AVMA and properly administer heart worm preventative.
• The Buyer is REQUIRED to SPAY AND NEUTER their puppy before or during the 6th month of age. All our puppies are sold as pets only and not for breeding purposes. Proof needs to be sent to us when the pup is spayed/neutered. If these requirements are not met, the guarantee is null and void.
• The Buyer agrees to contact CO Mountain Labradoodles immediately if the Buyer determines they are unable to keep their Labradoodle for any reason. CO Mountain Labradoodles will work with the Buyer to determine how to re-home the dog.
• The Buyer agrees to never place the CO Mountain Labradoodles in a shelter, pound or similar facility or research laboratory.
This guarantee is only applicable to the original purchaser. If the dog has been sold or given away, the health guarantee becomes void. Any dog that has competed in agility at too young of an age will also not be covered. A dog/puppy that has been physically injured is not covered by this guarantee.
As the seller, I certify that this dog/puppy is free from illness and defects, and does not appear clinically ill from parasitic infestations. All information provided is true to the best of my knowledge.
